Our story, since 2019

Dr. Amiee and Dr. Shane Vaughn with their three young children.
Dr. Shane and Dr. Amiee Vaughn at the practice's stand at a local Jupiter event.

Dr. Amiee grew up here, swimming at meets around Palm Beach County and surfing at Juno Beach. Dr. Shane fell for Jupiter visiting family. In 2019 they opened a practice of their own on Indiantown Road, and they treat every patient the way they would treat their own family.

Husband and wife, and business partners. Local, and family owned.

Why choose us

A dental visit that makes you say “wow.”

Their mission is a dental experience like no other: honest, trustworthy and high quality. Here is what that means when you walk in.

A quiet corner of the office with a lantern and a monstera leaf, the practice's emblem.
01

Exceptional with nervous patients

The problem: putting off the dentist for years because it frightens you.

Nitrous oxide calms you within minutes through a small nasal mask, and you feel normal again a few minutes after it comes off. Oral conscious sedation goes further, and lets a lot of work be done in one well-managed appointment.

The CEREC milling unit in the office, cutting a porcelain crown.
02

A crown in one visit, not three

The problem: a messy impression, a week in a temporary, and a second appointment.

With CEREC, your porcelain crown is designed, milled and placed in a single appointment. It is metal-free, matched to your smile, and made in the office rather than sent away to a lab.

The reception area, with a sofa, framed palm prints and the CEREC unit.
03

No waiting, and no pressure

The problem: feeling rushed, then sold treatment you did not ask for.

Little to no wait time, and one-on-one attention from your dentist, who makes the effort to understand your situation before recommending anything. You will never be pressured into a procedure you do not need.

Dental implants & All-on-4

Planned in 3-D. Placed and restored under one roof.

The office has “implant” in its name for a reason. Dr. Shane and Dr. Amiee perform the entire procedure themselves, so from your first consultation to your new teeth you work with the same team, and save time, money and stress along the way.

  • 3-D cone beam CT scannerA three-dimensional model of your mouth and jaw that shows nerves, blood vessels and bone density before a single implant is placed.
  • Digital impression systemA scan of your teeth instead of a mouthful of putty, for a crown, bridge or denture that fits.
  • Antibacterial implant coatingAvailable to help protect the tissue around your implants from infection.
The 3-D cone beam CT scanner in the office, used to plan every implant.
Every implant is planned on our own cone beam CT scanner.

How an implant comes together.

  1. 01

    Consultation

A look at your gums, bite, facial features and jaw, your options explained, and an estimate from the front office.

  2. 02

    Implant placement

A local anesthetic numbs the area. You may feel pressure, but there is no pain.

  3. 03

    Healing

Over a few months the implant bonds with the bone, then a small abutment is attached to it.

  4. 04

    Your new teeth

A crown, bridge or denture designed for you, fitted from a digital scan rather than a putty impression.

All-on-4: a full arch on four implants

The back two implants are set at a 45-degree angle to use the densest bone, which greatly reduces the need for bone grafting. In most cases a temporary set of teeth goes in while you heal, so you leave with a full smile. Dr. Shane would do it every day if he could.

Implant dentures

Fixed dentures sit on four to six implants and only a dentist can remove them. Snap-on dentures clip onto two to five implants and come out for cleaning. Both stop the slipping of a traditional denture.

Implant in trouble?

Pain, movement, bleeding or swelling around an implant can mean it is failing. Call us. We find the cause first. If it is an infection, it may be treatable with the implant left in place.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask before they book.

Can I be seen the same day for a dental emergency?

Call the office first. For something urgent, such as a cracked tooth or one knocked out, we make arrangements to see you on the same day whenever possible. When you call, the team asks about your symptoms, gives you first-aid instructions over the phone, and works out whether you need to come in straight away.

Do you take my dental insurance?

If you have a dental plan, we can use it to help you save. We are in-network with several of the most popular PPO plans and we work with out-of-network plans as well, where the difference can be negligible depending on your policy. We file the claims for you. Call ahead and we will tell you exactly how you will be covered.

What if I don't have dental insurance?

Our In-House Dental Savings Plan covers a year of preventive care for a flat annual fee, with no copays, no deductibles and no hidden fees, plus 15% off all other in-office treatment. CareCredit financing can also break larger treatment into monthly payments.

Will I be referred to a specialist for dental implants?

No. Dr. Shane is skilled in both placing implants and restoring them, and Dr. Shane and Dr. Amiee perform the entire procedure themselves, from the first consultation to your new teeth.

Can All-on-4 replace both my upper and lower teeth?

Yes. It can replace one arch at a time, but in many cases both are done at once. We always try to keep as many of your natural teeth as possible, but where all of them need replacing, doing both jaws together usually saves time and money.

What can I eat after All-on-4?

While you wear the temporary teeth, avoid hard, brittle or chewy foods for roughly the first three months while the implants join with the jaw. Applesauce, broiled fish, muffins, pasta and pudding all work well. Once your permanent teeth are in, there are few limits at all.

Do you see children?

Yes. We provide routine checkups for children, and Dr. Amiee has treated patients from the ages of 1 to 100. Nitrous oxide is gentle enough to use safely with small children who are anxious.
